The Australian Safety and Compensation Council’s (ASCC) national Safe Work Australia Awards (the Awards) are Australia’s premier national occupational health and safety (OHS) awards.

The Awards are held annually in April to coincide with World Day for Safety at Work, an international campaign to promote safe, healthy and decent work.

The Awards recognise individuals, government and organisations across Australia’s jurisdictions, covering a broad range of industries from both the public and the private sectors who have actively displayed outstanding efforts to create and sustain a safer workplace environment.

To be eligible for the national Safe Work Australia Awards, finalists must first win their respective category in their state or territory OHS awards. Winners of the Safe Work Australia Awards are decided by an independent panel of respected industry and government judges.
